The "fonts" in a social media bio are not fonts at all. They are separate Unicode characters — mathematical alphanumeric symbols, largely — that happen to look like styled Latin letters. That is why they survive being pasted into a platform that gives you no formatting controls, and it is also why they carry a real accessibility cost that almost nobody mentions.
